Middle of the road

The less that we can say is I wasn’t very active in my blog. The fact is I love languages  and I know I am not always correct with my English syntax. I know some people don’t care of my English level and I thank you for this.

Today I feel beeing in the middle of the road. After 6 years in Australia, I am thinking to leave.I tried for six years to stay here, saying to event managers, I sing also Jazz, book me as a normal Jazz singer, but well I guess basically they prefer hiring their own nationality….I am a professional singer and I need to be on stage because it is my life you know: E.T maison what is it in English: E.T home E.T house :)…being on a real stage 3 or 4 times a year is not what I want. I regret for not having found a production for my tribute to Edith Piaf  or a manager fighting for me. Well we will see. I can sing Piaf everywhere and have applause, even in France….if I leave Australia as my home, I will come back to sing for sure and this time I will use marketing saying: Very famous in Paris, blah blah. I was so chocked when I arrived in Sydney reading : This one is famous in Paris and I was thinking it is so untrue. I never used this that I learnt later it is named marketing 🙂  I just didn’t want to take Australian people for stupid people and I am true on stage and on marketing…..I think it’s time that I use more all my references, reviews, but well some artists have humility, ….

Today of course I am recognised as a talented singer by Australian and French people that saw me on stage or even only listened to my CD. I can have this recognition in France too and I had it before.

I think that I will express here my feelings and all I want to say. I will also later talk about French music but not right now since I have firstly 126.3 things to do.

Will I stay in Australia ? Will I go back to Paris ? Will I live in L.A or Florida or Houston Texas with the cowboys, ahahahah

I do not know if my blog will be of interest to anyone. My best way to communicate is to sing. 🙂 In every day life I can be a kind of an extra terrestre. When I was a teenager, students at school were calling me : Frankenstein and later E.T  🙂 ahaha all this is past… but the difference bothers people. However I am not complaining and had until now an amazing life. I feel so blessed to have a public that like me and follow me [you will notice that I use the word like instead of love, too strong for some nationalities;)]and very interesting friends.

Have a great Bastille Day 2013. I think the French Festival of Brisbane is going to be fabulous….

Sylvie Boisel jazz CD

I’m very busy at the moment with the recording of my CD but it is really exciting.
Until now, I recorded one CD in my career in live or I was in compilation CDs with famous singers but this time it is very serious and exciting and wonderful. 🙂 see here for the past when I was a comedian singer:

Did you get it, I am passionate.

And you?

I was until now interested only by the stage and reaching you like that. Now I will reach you with my CD too….It’s amazing…Life is amazing. Just open your arms and receive 😉

Love from Sylvie

My first real post

It’s exciting.

Starting a blog in wordpress.

I wasn’t really sure until now because I speak and write English like a French woman. 🙂

I can talk about lots of things like what does it do to arrive in a new country as a performer?  What is the difference that I felt between singing French songs and singing Jazz traditional? How you are doing when you were all your life a performer and you need to become a business woman?

I can talk about French songs, the past, the history….of chansons francaises.

I have to think.

But right now I think about my  new CD that I record very soon. The first real CD of my career. The others were live recording and not high quality. Until now the stage was the only thing that interested me, I thought my success was coming from my personality on stage until that people start to tell me more and more: You have a beautiful voice. It took me time to believe it but one day, we performers, start to have confidence….

Have a lovely Easter time,

SB
